Okay, I know I am going to piss a couple of people off with these questions; WHY is it when a person is physically fit for his or her's lifetime and makes the effort everyday to eat right they are told that they workout too much, they're too thin/skinny, obsessive, narcissist, and/or you have an eating dissorder? BUT, when an over-weight person decides to get on track with his or her's life they are doing great, looking good, on track, or have great will-power? I'm not knocking weight or finally getting fit at a later age, I'm just wondering why the same people will tell a fit person one thing and the over-weight person another?
Next question; I have had the pleasure of working with people that were decently over-weight, helping them toward a healthy weight. The majority have acknowledged that they single-handly made themselves this way and want to have a guide to a better them. Even with all the praise for their loss, suprisingly, they also go through the belittle phase from family, friends and/or accquaintances once they get to a target weight and hold it. I say to them when they complain, 'Its for yourself that you train, not them. Tune them out.' THE question is, I wonder at what point when the praise goes to haze?

| When I decided to compete in figure I was told I was "anorexic, obsessive, gross, a man..." |
I can't imagine NOT being fit. Whether it be for competition or lifestyle, fitness is not to be scolded or belittled. People need to put the green glasses away, realize that everybody is different and everybody needs encouragement.
I'm not going to point fingers at the naysayers or degrade them. That being said, people may be jealous of the willpower, drive, resolution, or self-discipline of the fit person thus treating them this way. Basic human mentality of wanting what one doesn't have is normal. Sometimes it's a motivator and sometimes it turns into a crutch.
Quit judging and get off the couch.
Fit Tips
-Water, coffee or tea. Nothing with sugars or carbonation. Carbonation blows up your fat cells.
-Squats. They release an enzime into the body that helps aid in weight loss, and you get great buns.
-Eat nothing "white" or at least keep it to a minimum.
-Processed foods are not convienience...they make you NOT healthy.
-The percentage of fat on your body is the same as around your heart. Imagine that little ticker working its ass off to pump blood. In the same token, if you are too thin on bodyfat its going to be knocking around with no cushion. Both will invite a cardiac event.
-Body Dysmorphia is real. If you find you just need to tweek that Bi all of the time or abs are so not ripped enough to the point of hiding or working them too much you may want to step back and evaluate where you are at mentally.
-KEEP IT SIMPLE. Food, the most basic form of any food is the best way to eat.
-Walk...not just to bathroom, fridge, bed... or bike or run, to the store, pay the bills, to dinner. A little basket is helpful, some detach for easy shopping.
- STAY AWAY FROM HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUPS. Not your friend. There's a reason HFCS is banned in most of Europe...its BAD. One reason so many people here are obese, it is in everything.
-Low or No Fat Diets promote obesity. EVERY person I have trained was low fat. NO! You need to find a ratio of fat/protein/carbs that works for you. Good fat is actually your friend. You will find that the correct amount of proteins and fats give you a mental clarity that is gone when on a low fat diet.
-Practice the Don't Buy It Diet...don't buy it you know its not a healthy choice...Heck, Healthy Choice isn't a healthy choice. Think processed, NO!
